How we work

A clear plan. Then steady progress.

No long discovery phase, no sixty-page audit nobody reads. We work out what is actually wrong, agree a narrow scope in writing, do the work, and show you what changed.

The engagement

Four steps, in order.

  1. 01

    Assess

Understand the business, the website and what your public presence already says.

  2. 02

    Prioritize

Agree a narrow written scope, the access required and who approves what.

  3. 03

    Improve

Make the agreed changes in priority order, with a person accountable for each one.

  4. 04

    Maintain

Keep information current, report in plain language and adjust what comes next.

Step 01

Assess

  • A conversation about what the business does, who buys from it and what you want more of.
  • A look at the website as it stands: platform, hosting, how content gets changed, what is out of date.
  • A look at the public presence: your Google Business Profile, how the business is described elsewhere, and whether any of it contradicts the rest.
  • A check on whether measurement exists at all. Without a baseline nobody can tell later whether anything improved.

Step 02

Prioritize

  • A short written scope: what is included, what is explicitly not, and the cadence.
  • The access we need, granted through your own accounts, listed item by item.
  • The approval route — what we can publish directly and what always comes to you first.
  • Fees agreed in writing before work starts. No public price list until the packages are finalised.

Step 03

Improve

  • Work in priority order rather than whatever is quickest to show.
  • AI assistance in drafting where it helps; a person reviews and is responsible for everything published.
  • Changes recorded against the date they went live, so later measurement has context.
  • Anything found outside the scope is reported with a recommendation, not quietly billed.

Step 04

Maintain and report

  • Scheduled upkeep on the cadence agreed for your scope.
  • Reporting in plain language on the agreed period: what was done, what the available data shows, what we suggest next.
  • An honest note where data is missing, delayed or unreliable.
  • A standing conversation about priorities, because they change.

Reporting and ongoing planning

Know what changed,
and what comes next.

Reporting is part of every engagement rather than an extra line item. Not a volume of charts — a short, readable answer to what we did, what the available data shows, and what we suggest next.

  • Work completed in the period, with dates.
  • Measurements from your own connected accounts — analytics, Search Console and profile data — where they are configured and collecting.
  • Items waiting on your approval or on information only you have.
  • The proposed priorities for the next period, and why.

Where a connection is missing, a platform is lagging or a figure is incomplete, the report says so. A gap stated plainly is more useful than a number nobody can defend.

Working principles

The parts that are not negotiable.

  • You own your website, domain, hosting and business profiles. We work through access you grant and can withdraw.
  • Scope is written down before work starts, including what is excluded.
  • A person reviews and is accountable for anything published in your name.
  • We report what the data actually supports, including when that is less than you hoped.
  • We will tell you when the work you are asking for is not the work you need.
What can we see in the client portal?

Work recorded against your account, items waiting for your approval, and whatever reporting your connected accounts support. What appears depends on your service scope and the connections you have authorized — it is not the same for every client, and we would rather say that than imply a full dashboard on day one.

Do we have to use the portal?

No. It is where the record lives, but the working relationship runs on conversation and email as much as anything else.

What if we want to stop?

You give notice under the agreement, we hand back anything we hold and you remove our access. You keep the website, the domain, the profile and the work done to date, because they were always yours.

Who will we actually be dealing with?

A named contact at the agency rather than a rotating queue. Agency staffing details will be published here once there is something factual to publish — we are not inventing a team page.

Let's start with a conversation

Start with the assessment.

The first conversation costs you nothing except the time to describe the business. You will leave it with a view on what we would do first, whether or not you engage us.
